First time caller... I've noticed that the chimes fail over to the IPC when remote starting my truck; if I start it normally (get in it then start it) the chimes behave properly. I've run the speaker tests with no shorts found and everything else is fine; and even when the chimes initially fail they correct themselves (usually during the same drive). Has anyone else experienced this?

Just curious, do you have a key or push button start? Do you turn off the audio system when you park?

I’d try leaving your radio on when you park and exit, then remote start and see if they come through the speakers sooner. Just as a test. Seems like it’s waiting for the audio system to boot up.

Thanks for the suggestion; I'll give it a try. I'd be inclined to agree about it waiting; there have literally been times where the initial chime went through the IPC and transitioned to the speakers. Just haven't seen anyone else with the issue and I really don't want to go to the dealer to be told "we couldn't replicate the issue".

Yea, it’s just waiting for the audio system to turn on. In your menu there are remote start options like “last setting” or “auto” which is mostly for the climate control, but I don’t know if you set that to “last” and park and turn off the audio that it will failover until you turn the radio on.

No success with the first test (leaving the radio on). I may just need to accept it’s a bug and move on :)

other than the sticking air dam (which I removed) this is the only problem I've had (and maybe it’ll get fixed via OTA updates later).

and now the chimes are disabled with FORScan... that's one way to fix it.
