Hey all, looking to do a 12V accessory panel at the back of the truck for off road lights, air compressor, etc.

Wondering if anyone has gone down this road and if there is an ideal spot to ground to the chassis on these newer F150s?

Thanks in advance!

On the frame. Not the body. There a few frame grounds in the back but if you need one in a certain place just make sure it’s clear and drill a hole. Clean to bare metal attach your ground and then I’d suggest hitting it with some black paint just to stop or slow down any corrosion.

For the best operation take a ground/common/negative all the way back to the battery. If this is not desired then I agree with @astrand1 and go to the frame, not the body. I am one that will run a ground wire all the way back to the battery. This is a must for my trailers! I do not use frame ground nor use the hitch as the ground connection to the truck.
