Hi all,
I have recently received an intermittent CEL that’s running code p2c22. I did a quick search and it seems to be a code for the Exhaust Heat Exchanger Bypass Valve A. The CEL is currently off and the code isn’t showing up anymore (which is a good sign). However, I have also noticed a slight 1-2 second rattling/creaking noise coming from the underside of my truck when the truck goes from electric to ICE; this is usually more pronounced when accelerating from a stop. It is also present when I’m idling and rev the engine to about 2000 rpm. I’m wondering if anyone is also experiencing this same issue or similar issue?
I’m not sure if the rattling is normal for the Powerboost F-150s but the dealer said they heard it once and could not recreate it. I will be taking it back to the dealer soon to see if they can recreate it again and get something going to get it fixed.
