Carplay audio won't work if truck started while on a call

This is a weird one I have been fighting for a bit. If I get into the truck while on a call, the wireless carplay connects and the call moves to the truck. After I hang up, you're unable to play audio files through carplay, wireless, or connected. This includes streaming audio, podcasts, mp3s, whatever. Phone calls work fine. If you disconnect car play and connect via Bluetooth, the same issues occur. The only way to fix it is to shut down the truck, get out, lock the vehicle and wait for the systems to go to sleep. You can't just restart everything at a stoplight.

Super weird issue, has anyone else run into this?
