Canadian Vehicles Ordered/Delays/Delivery Dates

I was just wondering on my info sheet it says Primary Status In Production normally how long does the truck stay in that state before it moves into the build state?

Wont change status until it is built.
Could be a month--could be a few days
My truck went into production on
Dec 1----was not built until 1-25
But if you have a vin and are scheduled, you can find out easily enough.

I received my Window Sticker with a build date of February 2nd. 2021

VIN January 20th (possibly earlier, that's just when the salesperson sent it to me)
Still "in order processing" - No build date.

Retail Lariat 502A 2.7, BO Unleashed, 360 Cams... the delayed "work surface" may have something to do with why its still in processing.

You have a very strange situation if your delivery date is March 20 but you have a transit date of 15days. My guess is the 15 is more accurate but time to call your dealer.

Called my dealer today and he says we won't see the truck until late March. That is a loooong wait considering it was built on Jan 28th

Yes, right now the work surface and the spray in bed are adding time. They say the spray bed is adding roughly 2 weeks. Of course there are other shortages as well.

I officially have a build week and date.

Looks like Ford is picking up the pace (depending on what materials/features/parts you need).

I ordered a XLT Supercrew with 5'5" bed, 4x4, 3.5L Eco, with 302A High, Off-road, Sport pack, Moonroof, 360 co-pilot assist 2.0, and a few other minor things. Decided to remove the workstation, and spray-in bed liner (will have the dealership do it for the same price - at cost).

Order on Jan 13th.
Vin Jan 28th.
Scheduled Build week: Week of Feb 8th.
Scheduled Build Date: Feb 11th.

Less than a month from order to build if things don't change. I'm happy considering I was told not to expect anything until late March to late April.

At quick glance of this thread i'm seeing mostly Lariats and XLT's for PowerBoost. Anyone have VIN or delivery dates for Platinum PB's in Canada? I've had total silence from Ford since placing my order Sep 30. I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

My order: Plat, PB, SQ, Tow Mirror, Tow Package (not max), Work Surface, 7.2KW ProPower, FX4, Partitioned Storage

2021 XLT 302a. Rapid Red, wheel well liners, B&O, Sport, 5.0, Adjustable Peddles, Mats, 360 and spray in liner.

i’m thinking it depends on the allocation. Eastgate was able to order a TON of dealer orders for 21s but they didn’t have some of the options i wanted so i’m thinking they are now further down the list for customer orders in regard to priority.

Customer orders usually come first... (after the first batch of trucks sent to the dealers). So even if they have 20 more on order, your custom order should jump the line. Hopefully your priority code is low (10 is lowest).

Did you order from a large dealer? Smaller ones have less allocations but the smaller volume means you only have a handful of customers ahead of you.

The priority 19 only impacts your priority at your dealer not at the Ford factory. The 10-19 priority only prioritizes your local dealerships allocation. The dealer priority determines which orders gets the allocation. From what I’ve learned a lot of these dealers go with a priority 19 on all the orders so there is no impact. If all the other orders at your dealer are 10 then yours might get bumped a bit. I guess a good question for your dealer is if any of there orders different than yours. Information that I’ve learned from the this site (mainly CurryBob).

interesting. i’m not in any real rush to be honest. i was told when i ordered that i could expect delivery mid april which was fine. of course i’m a little impatient but i think once the vin comes in i can at least keep an eye on it.

I was told the same by my dealer in Brampton that it would arrive late March/Early April but ordered in November from a large volume dealer and still no VIN. I have a feeling a few of my options may also be holding it up as well. I am getting a little concerned from what I have seen posted about the timing between getting your VIN, Build date and delivery time that it wont be here by April at this point. Dealer has advised that Ford hasn't even picked up the order yet from there system so until that happens I wont even get a VIN to track.
