Because I'd like to. Because I want them off all the time. Because when you turn them off in the settings they turn on with the next restart. Because I forget to turn them off when I take my dog with me. Because I don't want to toggle them off each time.

You can have your truck set to ask you each time you turn the truck off. Real quick yes no one or two clicks on the steering wheel as you get out. That way they can still be enabled when your dog isn’t with you.

Other option: Cover the sensors with something.

Other option (common): Disconnect the sensors in the overhead console. It just pops down and they are right there.

This I did not know. I'll have to look into this option. Thank you.

Try looking at 726-02-02 XXXX-**XX-XXXX.

See if you have "01" where those *'s are; and if so, try changing it to "02" for inclination only. Right now it is probably set to "both" (01). This way is should still set off the alarm if someone tries to tow the truck away, but turn off the interior sensors.

I have not tried this, but I think that's how people did it in the 2015-2020 models.

If you really don't want that, pull it out and sell it to some '23 Powerboost owner that would like to have it ... ?

You are correct. My as-built is 01=SC BOTH. This can be changed to 00=SC NONE, 02=SC INCLINATION, or 03=SC INTRUSION. Intrusion seems to be self explanatory, but why the heck was the word inclination chosen? That's baffling.

Anyhow, thanks for this information. I've decided trying the Ford provided option of choosing what I want to do at engine shutdown. It defaults to NO if I do nothing and this will be what I do most of the time. I'll see how this goes. I'll keep your suggestion on the back burner should I change my mind.

lol. “Inclination” is odd, but I guess that is the best way to explain a roll on axis. I thought it just did jacking or towing, but also found out that if someone steals enough weight from the bed; it will sound the alarm.

Does this require the scales? I have the scales. I need to make a salt run for the water softener; ten 40 lb bags. I figure the truck needs to be locked. I can take one bag out at a time and see how many bags it takes to set off the alarm.

No, it has built in gyros it uses. It may also use the scale sensors, but basically if you raise it high enough to get a wheel, it will go off. Just needs to move ~1 degree in any axis.
