Campaign 25B08 Trough assembly replacement and repair

Just showed up in my Ford Pass. No idea what it is beyond what it says. I didn’t see a post regarding this campaign. Apologies if it’s an old one. Went back 5 pages and didn’t see anything.

I also saw this today, no info and very cryptic. The only possibility I saw expressed on another forum for "trough" was something to do with moonroof drainage.

I have one as well. Waiting for rep to respond. I've had mine leak twice, but it's been fine since. Ford in the interest of customer satisfaction authorizing dealer repair free of charge regardless of mileage. It's a repair or replacement whichever the dealership feels best. I know the dealership I use will push not to replace it because they don't want to do the work. And it hasn't been leaking. Ford is saying talk with dealership they are authorized under the satisfaction program to repai/replace it.

Just got letter on this from Ford...my 24 has not leaked at all but damn , they should donate a month's payment on top of this, huge inconvenience

Got my notification about the recall via USPS over the weekend, and it also showed up in FordPass. My truck has leaked twice on the passenger side, with water coming in through the speaker above it. I initially thought it was just due to the heavy rain we've had in central NC these past couple of weeks. On Sunday, I even checked the drainage trough and poured water down to make sure the tube wasn't clogged. Now I'm calling to get details on the repair or replacement.

Silly thing about these repairs is they have to be approved. Ford sent me the letter for my VIN, and it’s leaking. It shouldn’t have to lag with nonsense approvals

took mine in 2 weeks ago, on July28th they said the parts were ordered, today they tell me there is a backlog on one of the parts. Sure wish we had someone here that could verify that any of the parts are backlogged.

Took my letter in yesterday and scheduled the repair for the 19th. Later that day the service writer text me asking to bring it back in as she needed some pictures. Took it back in and she took 3 pictures. One of the front of the truck, drivers door vin sticker and mileage. She said she didn’t know why the parts department wanted those pictures before they would order the parts. She thought it was weird also.

Update: The day before my scheduled appointment to get this fixed, I received a text from the service department saying the parts to repair it have not been received yet. No eta was given and they would update me as soon as they knew more. So it seems these parts are in short supply.
