So I bought a brand new 2023 f150 lariat and when I was ordering it the dealership told me not to have the factory put the spray in bed liner in it because it can hold up the delivery time since the factory is backed up and they can do it for the same price but I’d get the truck quicker. I thought they were going to do it but really they just took it to bullet liner and had it put in.. well when I got my truck back from bullet liner I first notice several things I wasn’t to happy with. The 1st being they missed a few spots under the plastic rails and you can still see white paint.. 2nd they sprayed in all the holes for the bed attachments… so not sure what to do about that now.. and 3rd they sprayed all the bolts that hold the bed to the frame. Not a big deal because I don’t plan on taking the bed off but in the future if I ever need to or the dealership has to it’s going to be a pain because all the star bolt heads are caked with bullet liner. Not to mention once the bolts turn I’m assuming it’s going to rip the liner around them since it’s all sprayed together now. When I sent pics to the dealer that was taking care of the spray in liner he said it was standard industry practice to spray the bed bolts and side threaded holes for the attachments… but that I can schedule the truck back in for the spots they missed… I’m tired of paying money for shitty work… anyone else have these issues??

Schedule it to get properly coated in the thin areas asap.

Spraying the bed bolts is normal.

All the other locations for bed accessories should've been masked IMO. It should be fairly easy to cut new, but longer it cures...I wouldn't just bring them the Bed Utility kit and have them install it, I'd have the company install bolts at all the locations to confirm fit. Seems like it may need to be retapped.

FWIW, I was explicit on what I wanted done at LineX. Confrimed what panels would come off before spraying and what would be coated.

LINE-X would never. they’re also nationwide unlike those mom & pop businesses that are sometimes questionable.

Hope nobody minds me commenting on an older thread.

OP, that's just a crappy job by the installer. Did you get it resolved?

I had a Bullet liner sprayed into my Gladiator in Sparks, NV. They masked any bolt holes and it was sprayed nice and thick everywhere. As mentioned spraying the bed bolts is normal. It was also much cheaper than the Rhino liner I had sprayed into a previous truck. No complaints.

I'll probably call Bullet when I'm ready to get the liner sprayed into my F-150.
