alright forum family need your help on this important decision check it out. I will attach a picture later but …

I clean my 2022 F-150 lariat sport crew cab almost every week. Last week I was cleaning my windshield when I discovered a bug that had climbed up between my windshield and the forward facing camera.

the problem I am facing
Is if I remove that panel I risk breaking a clip or the plastic itself…. Or do I just live knowing there is a bug in there I can do nothing about. You can’t really tell when staring at the truck at all .. but I know it’s there and it bugs the hell out of me (pun intended)

I vote pull the plastic down. you shouldn't break anything but it will take alot of prying and will make noises like its breaking. i actually just pulled mine down today in search of a weird drip. the can of compressed air is a great idea too.

A while back, there was an issue with the auto wipers not working properly because the camera behind the windshield had come out of its mount. The fix involved taking off the cover to access and reseat it. Apparently, removing the cover is not too hard. No clips, just a few plastic tabs. https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/autowipers-not-working.3125/post-92795
