Broken Vent diverter

I'm test driving a truck I like quite a bit right now and noticed the vent diverter is broken. Worse yet it's on my wife's side.

Its the one right next to the radio. Is the only replacement the $200 entire bezel I see on ebay?

Which truck? Which year?

Assuming a Ford? Assuming a F-150? Which Trim Level? Dealer or Private sale?

When I test drove the 2021 F-150 Lariat, Four of the diverters were broken off, three on the dash, one in the rear of the console. The dealer offered to replace them under "warranty" before I actually took possession of the truck. It took them about a month to get all the pieces in and then I booked the truck in for the work. Seemed like about 90% of the dash has to come apart to replace them! I hung around and watched through the window from outside the shop.

The truck was finished just before closing and when we got in to drive away we were getting a warning that the onboard generator needed servicing. Tech had already gone home, but managed to get another tech to put the laptop on it and seems when they were putting the dash back together they missed hooking up a wire to the 120V dash plug. Had to rebook and take it back in and have them hook up the missed wire.

Yes it was the complete vent assembly they had to replace as the little knobs were not available separately.

Since we are on a F150 14gen forum....

It's a 21 xlt. No warranty, I'll be fixing it myself. I did find the piece that broke in the glovebox.

ugh same problem in my 21, went to get it washed about a month or so ago got back in, little tab from the center passengers side one was sitting in the utility area, from what I'm reading here it isn't going to be an easy repair... not what I wanted to read...

My ‘23 had the same issue, fortunately the center one was covered under warranty, the side one was not. $38 for the part and was super easy to replace. Just a note for you though, the parts come without the bezel so you need to save them and swap to the new part. If I remember right the radio took an hour or so to change that bezel and it is all one piece.
