Turns out the one over northern Alaska was a hobby club's balloon that'd already flown 7x around the globe.

The sad part is that the level of incompetence regarding the original device that was downed is astounding. It was going to yield so much intel yet they can't find most of the parts. You'll never gain more intel about an attritable spy asset than it can gather on you, by leaving it to complete it's mission.
