Boost Auto tow mirror lights

Just bought Boost auto tow mirror lights. Lights were flickering randomly, so called support and was told i needed a resistor to resolve the issue.

Boost auto instructional video shows pin #7 ( orange-red wire ) as being the wire to add resistor.

My wire harness shows pin #7 a different color ( blue-black) .

Do you guys think it is ok to use pin #7 even though it shows a different color on my wire harness ?
