Blurred Image on Instrument Panel

I have a 2022 Lariat and I notice that sometimes the truck image on the instrument panel is blurred and sometimes it is not blurred. Does anyone understand what is happening here and why the image is sometimes blurred out?

Would the blurred happen to be after a few beers? I get that sometimes as well...

All jokes aside never seen that, very weird that it would blur on a digital screen like that. It's not like that truck image is moving or anything.

That is odd. I haven’t seen it before. Does it occur in all drive modes? Your screenshots show you are in eco. Check if you see it in the other drive modes as well. I suspect a bug in your IPC module. If you PM me your VIN, I’ll see if you have an update you can ask your dealer about.

Another thing to check—the image might be blurred out for EV Coach because you don’t have EV Coach turned on.

EDIT: Not s bug. Mine does it too.

Mine does this too, I think its part of the software. Since the EV coach is its own screen, doesnt want you to focus on the picture of the truck, but instead the EV coach bar.

The blurred image is when the truck is nude, and they have to censor the truck nuts.

It is only blurred on the Ev coach screen. mine is the same. been like that since gen 14 was released.

This last series of instrument cluster shots is helpful. It looks like Ford intentionally blurs the vehicle image whenever data is superimposed. It’s probably so that the data is more readable. The exception appears to be the EV Coach. I don’t recall if additional data appears above the bar while driving, but if it does then the blurring would make sense for the EV Coach, too.

The only thing that shows above the bar on the EV coach screen is Charging, Hybrid, & Electric, based on what the truck is doing at the time.

So I guess that's the answer then - its blured because some information could be shown over the image of the truck - even though nothing currently is shown in this case.

Yep. Makes sense to me.

Yes, the truck is "blurred" only on the EV Coach screen, and in all drive modes.
The other blurred trucks with words superimposed are all "top views."
The EV Coach truck view is a "profile" and should not be "blurred," IMHO
