Yea, you right on lane centering to disable Bluecruise. It is a shame Ford's short designed it where you can't have cruise w/lane centering without Bluecruise. Seems to have been simple to make this push button option on activation of cruise. Would be very convenient my 2024 F150 KR.The easy way to disable blue cruise while driving is to turn off lane centering. That's the car symbol with lines on each side on the left side of the wheel. Beyond that you would probably need to go through all the menus in Sync to make changes.
One thing is, w/Bluecruie on, you keep getting alert "keep eyes on road" every time you look at instrument or side of road for a couple of seconds.I love having adaptive cruise control. Blue Cruise is amazing. I would think if you don't want to use it, just keep your hands on the wheel. I don't see much difference than having it off/on if my hands are on the wheel.
I love the lane centering of any car that has that option. When i'm in wife's volvo, i have to turn it on each time i want to use it. It doesn't even come on when i activate the cruise control, so dumb.
After a certain point with OTAs it does this even with hands on lane centering. One thing is, w/Bluecruie on, you keep getting alert "keep eyes on road" every time you look at instrument or side of road for a couple of seconds.
Yes, it's a bit annoying, but I found a small work-around. I have a really dark pair of sunglasses. As long as I keep my head straight, it never really alerts me about "keep eyes on road". I was on a freeway driving in from Houston, and I was able to answer emails on my cell phone. I was still checking up on the road, but there wasn't much traffic at all. This trick doesn't work at night, but I haven't driven much with bluecruise at night. One thing is, w/Bluecruie on, you keep getting alert "keep eyes on road" every time you look at instrument or side of road for a couple of seconds.
I've noticed this! it's pretty lame. After a certain point with OTAs it does this even with hands on lane centering.
It's far more than "a couple of seconds". I haven't specifically timed it, but in my '21 that I upgraded to BC 1.4, I'd guess it's somewhere around 7-8 second range at minimum. One thing is, w/Bluecruie on, you keep getting alert "keep eyes on road" every time you look at instrument or side of road for a couple of seconds.
