Blue Cruise Not allowing hands free

If you have No date showing I figured out a way to get it fixed. I know there were a couple

You have to have forscan. You have to have Team viewer. And you have to let me do it and you have to follow my instructions.

It will take an hour or so total. this will get your date fixed for sure.

I will confirm if it fixes the date not changed tomorrow. As of now this is a fix for no date showing. Ill know tomorrow if it fixes people with the Gateway up to date but not having the correct date tomorrow.

This is not a process you can do yourself it will require me being involved period.

That’s mighty wonderful you’re able to help some of us.
my date remains 10-12-2022 so guess this takes me out of the fix for now.

I might need your help to fix the incorrect date. The gateway update you sent did not get loaded since the truck is telling that the version has been installed.

I will get Forscan install on my PC and install team viewer tomorrow.

Ok I confirmed my process works in someones truck.

I did it tonight remotely.

Set an hour aside. I can get the date updated to the correct date officially now.

SO please I know several of you are ready to go. I can only do so much. So please if you want to do this get with me so we can schedule it. The sooner the better.

I will let you know for those that have the date but its expired tomorrow BUT I am faily confident now it will work also.

I have spent a lot fo time trying to resolve this. Finally can. You jsut have to have Forscan. A USB drive and listen to me.

I'm also not getting updates. My VIN is 1FTEW1E80NFC13088. I'm showing the expiration date of 10/12/2022. Would appreciate your help.

Hi @Jesse-Infotainment . I bought my F150 about two weeks ago, and haven’t had any OTA updates, and BlueCruise hands free isn’t working (because the Hands Free Driving date is in the past )

Ford Connected Services Support after four phone calls over the last week have had me try various things, and pushed buttons on their end, and have now settled on me needing to go to a Dealer to get my Gateway module flashed under TSB 22-2105/TSB22-2494.

Reading through this thread, am I correct in assuming I could use an exFAT USB and upload Gateway files provided by you, myself? Or is a dealer trip definitely needed?
(I’ve done USB updates to Sync 3 in the past for my older Fords).

My VIN is 1FTFW1ED4NFA50494

i HAVE CONFIRMWED i CAN CHANGE THE DATE NOW AS WELL SO IF YOU HAVE THE OLD DATE i CAN UPDATE IT TO THE NEW ONE.

iT REQUIRES my involvement. I will NOT allow anyone to do this without me dont ask.

The other Option is I can advance exchange your gateway. If you have some capability to access teh gateway I can send you one thats updated and ready for your vehicle. You install it and youre off and going ..

That would be in case you dont have a pc or Forscan. This is not a bad thing but it will be PMi for your truck and wont cause issues but its a worst case for those that have no other option

Ford effed this up. My hands free map says it expired. 30 days into driving my vehicle equipped with BlueCruise that I paid $2500 for and it’s now garbage.
why would Ford even make their software expire? It’s not like the BlueZones have changed.
I want my money back. That’s the fix
It's a subscription service, for which you were comped a year or more of free usage. Additionally, they update the maps to reflect changes in the road network--which, based upon the amount of construction that is constantly taking place across the country, requires fairly frequent updates.

All in all, Ford's approach seems reasonable to me, at least on the surface. (Though I agree that they need to do a better job of extending map dates/updating maps more seamlessly, so that there aren't so many people who run into your situation.)
