Black Appearance Package for 2022 F-150 -- First Look

Ordered in Carbonized Grey with the 502A


I got the Carbonized Grey. Looks really nice with the F-250 BAP so I am hoping it looks just as nice on the F-150. Was between White or Grey.

I also ordered Carbonized Grey with BAP...on the 701A. I really like the black with the gray and thought the colors looked good together in the pictures of the XLT on the other thread. I'm looking forward to seeing it on a platinum.

Same here! White looked a little to "Work Truck" for me. Carbonized Grey looks sporty and I cant imagine how cool its going to look on the Plat. Cant wait to see it or at least build it on Ford.com

That's pretty encouraging since I still want the BAP...mostly for the hood. Since I ordered the Platinum I'm getting those wheels either way and I'd rather have the black ones. I'm mostly annoyed that they removed the blacked out headlight bezels and I probably won't get black tailpipes because of the PB even with the FX4, but at least the taillight bezels should be there. I'm sure I could have customizations done to pull off a much nicer black out...but it would cost more than the BAP and require me to drop it off for paint etc. Instead I'll just start with the BAP and tweak anything I don't like (probably wheels at some point).

The XLT that was in the other tread was a 301A XLT which has the Halogen Lights and Chrome Bezels. The 302A XLT and 502A Lariat and higher trims have the LED Headlights with the Black Bezels. I ordered a Black 302A Powerboost BAP XLT that I'm hoping will schedule soon. The Chrome single exhaust of the PowerBoost is really disappointing for the extra money of the PowerBoost Black dual exhaust would be nice.

I completely agree with you there. It will be pretty lame for them to not throw the black exhaust tip on there at the very least...but that is easy enough to add later. Same with dual exhaust...assuming there is room to route it with an appropriate muffler.

Also, according to the build sheet the headlights won't have black bezels...only the taillights. They dropped that pretty early on.

Unless they go out of there way to add Chrome the LED Headlights are Black on all trims and packages. They wouldn't have listed it because it is standard on the LED Headlamp's

Hello,I don’t get it,I ordered the exact truck except white in October,the ford rep told my dealer the black pack is not available till may,this was last week so I removed it..My dealer still states it’s delayed

Honest opinion on seeing these photos…to me this package is kinda cheap looking. I dont know what it is about it, but it screams cheap not premium. Maybe i just need to see more up close and different angles. The Superduty blackout package in comparison looks premium, maybe that’s why it is exactly 3X the cost of this one.

Could it be the reason nobody on this thread is saying WOW, this is one good looking truck.

HAHAHAHA! My thoughts exactly. When i buy a 60,000 dollar what ever, i want it to look like it. But i like shiny things so.....

In the same boat as you. Wanted to love the BAP but from the few photos I have seen I’m not sold and not sure I want to wait an additional 3+ month’s. Ended up switching to the Sport Appearance…. That being said, Ordered on 12/4 and haven’t been scheduled yet. Everyone who has ordered the BAP is currently on a “Unscheduled Material Hold” which seems like a summer delivery.

I switched to the sport appearance package as well. We made the right decision.

Dealer has some BAP Lariats that did move from Priority 19 to 10 (IF THAT MEANS ANYTHING)

Like for like my order WITH BAP is cheaper than a comparative order without. Yes the gloss black wheels suck and once I replaced that it will be more than the non-BAP equivalent, but I cannot grow to like the red/rust interior. Each to his own I guess.

Any solid proof the the Lariat Sport BAP does not have the same interior?
