I've gone down the shock upgrade wormhole. I have the 5100 rear shocks, but im considering upgrading from a 2.5 puck level, that raised it 3", with oem shocks, to the 5100 adjustable struts. Will I get 3" of lift like the puck? If I have it set at 2.5, will it be a harsher ride because it's at max height? Would I be better off at setting it to zero and keeping the pucks? So many questions, haha.

My truck is a powerboost

If happy with the pucks and resultant height, I'd do this.

I love my stock height 5100's on all four corners.

I have the 6100 front strut/spring adjusted to max height on my 2022 Powerboost. I also have 5100 rear shocks. It gives a bit under 2 inch of lift in the front. The advertised 2.3 or 2.5 inch of lift is for lighter non Powerboost trucks

No harsh ride at max setting in my opinion. Still a very smooth ride, but less body roll and more stable when braking from my perception.

I would assume ride would be better with the 5100 or 6100 than with a 3'' spacer.

I installed the 5100/6100 on my 23 SCLB 4x4 5.0. The adjustable struts “ can be set to desired height during installation “ I set mine on the second to highest setting the struts are longer than own struts. This allows for more travel before bottoming out the strut. The puck does not change the travel. Not sure if that matters to most people. But the rough trails I travel on it could. The settings are set with a c clip at the top of the strut and have I believe 5 groves to choose from. The did improve the handling and stopped the rear bounce when hitting pot holes and rough patches of roads. It didn’t make the ride softer. But I was looking for handling and control. Hope this helps

Well, setting it at factory height and using the 2.5" puck was a massive failure. When we pulled it out of the truck, the overall length was 25", setting the bilstein at 0, resulted in an overall length of 26.5". It was a struggle to get them back, but we did. My measurement before was 41" front and 42.5" rear, from the ground to the bottom of the wheel opening. Back stayed the same, front went to 42". But the axle angles were very bad and it would click every couple of feet. Also the tire would hit the front bumper when turning in and out. Soooo, going to remove the spacer, move the strut setting to 2.5 and take a measurement. If it's close to 25", we'll throw it in. If not, we'll throw the factory struts back in and install the spacer. What a mess 😂😂😂

Only problem with "leveling" any truck with cv axles is most want to get maximum height but the end result usually ends up with the cv's prematurely failing or the boots tearing.
