Another red flag is the age of the account. This account was created 11/17/23,. I would never send money to somebody that has only been around for 2-3 weeks with only 4 posts.

I was an admin on a popular forum it was not uncommon that an old account would get hacked, and the account will start posting wheels, etc, big $ items. People loose money.

I purchased a set of XLT fender badges from him, set $90 through zelle and haven’t received any communication since Dec 17. So not happy about that?. Just a heads up to all.

Look on the bright side -- you've just paid a rather inexpensive price, for a rather costly lesson.

Zelle is owned by the banks, you should call/talk to the bank at the very least. These aren't random paypal accounts, these are bank account to bank account transactions.

It’ll take 4-6 months to get account info and transaction details back from the bank if the PD serves them with a search warrant. Then to go after someone out of state over 90 bucks just isn’t going to happen and even the feds won’t pursue unless it’s over $100k. I think your best chance is to call your bank.

Does Zelle have protections like PayPal? If Zelle is connected to your bank you can file a police report and then try your bank. It’s free to call them and ask

It was partially my fault for not looking at the user that close, so you can’t dwell on a problem forever. Move on and keep chugging.

I wouldn't call 90 bucks a small amount but it could be worse/more money. Look at the bright side, with inflation as high as it is, you didn't lose as much as you would've two years ago.
