Has anyone had success or problems when installing Bedrug with the 7.2 KW panel and tailgate work surface? I imagine there is quite a bit of trimming involved to make it work. Pictures would be helpful

I just installed one a couple weeks ago. There’s a perforated/precut section for the pro power, but I also loosened it and tucked the rug behind it for a clean look. Took some time to get it to work but turned out great.

For the work surface, I removed it and installed the bedrug underneath it. I’ll post pics when I get a chance.

I removed the tie downs, boxlink, propower, etc. and put the screws back in about halfway. Placed the Bedrug in, felt for my screws, cut a slit for them to poke through, and reinstalled everything over the Bedrug. Same for the work surface. For the propower I cut out the square a little on the smaller side and trimmed until I got a good fit and was able to keep it tucked. For the bed lights I just turned the lights on underneath the bedrug and cut a rough opening.
Just make sure you take your time and don’t rush anything.

I did the same as Rambo93. I also trimmed for the drain tubes for the BakFlip MX4.
The edges around the work surface curl up a little as there’s no velcro to hold it down.
I used a razor knife for most of the cuts and an exacto knife for the precision cuts and I managed to complete the job without cutting myself!
I cut from the carpet side and didn’t have any issues. The liner around the lights isn’t secured but it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere. I also just used a Sharpie to put a small dot where the light activation button is and it works fine.

How did you disconnect the power panel? Was it just a quick unplug and plug back job?

Yes. Remove the 4 bolts and unplug the wiring harness. I used the edges of the cutout for a cutting guide. If I did it again I would try to leave about a 1/4” more material around the opening.
Pretty easy install. I’m happy with it so far!
