I think what you mean is you CAN'T delete it because that's what the hybrid is designed to do.
Personally, I love the fact that I can sit in a drive through line or at a job site and be 'running' with AC/heat, tunes, etc. and the engine not running. When I drive my wife's Mustang GT and am sitting in traffic or a drive through I find myself wishing it would turn off! ?

If I was stuck in traffic and wanted my engine to turn off, I would simply turn the key.

Just like Microsoft doing things for me. Let me do the thing I know I want. Stop trying to anticipate my wants/needs. I am a big boy and can take care of myself.

You missed the point big boy. No one is running your life for you. It's an aid to help save some gas = $$. But if you want to spend more, who am I to stop you.

And... just like reaching down and turning the key, you can reach up and push the button to disable the "Start-Stop" function. Now there's a concept, eh?

Your missing my point. I never said running my life. I said doing things for me that I do not want to have done, with no option to permanently prevent it.

and the gas saving is Nominal at best while adding more wear on the starter, battery, piston rings, cam barrings, ... .. .... All to save maybe a half a cent. okay maybe a full cent with the cost of gas now.

If they would allow drivers to permanently shut the thing off then it wouldn't be a big deal. But to force you to push a button every single time you start your car gets annoying fast. and if you forget then it is doing things you don't want it to do like a child constantly asking if we are there yet.

But It's not on my truck so I don't care.

Ok, fair enough. Not trying to force anyone to accept anything. I bought the hybrid for it's ability to be efficient yet offer the performance I want when needed. I like having the best of both worlds.

21, 22 and 23 have all had things forced removed. Roll of the dice. Glad I got my build before this one

Looks like if you were lucky enough to get a job 2 ‘21 then you are sitting pretty. No deletes, comes with blue cruise from factory.
