I jumped in the truck yesterday to move it across the parking lot. After starting it I put it in reverse and suddenly the audio system emits LOUD FULL VOLUME electronic noise, so loud it was actually painful!! I hit the audio power button and the extremely loud noise stopped but now I heard steady stream of static at about mid volume, not painful but VERY annoying - and the system would not power off. Shut off the truck and noise stopped. Started it back up or just power up accessory mode and the steady static continued regardless of what I did with the power button..
So I went back in the office and made arrangements for my dealer to check it out that afternoon. A couple hours later I started up the truck and everything seemed normal. Really thought a speaker or two would have be blow out by this but they seemed fine.. Dealer checked it over and could not find anything but they told me another customer with the unleashed system reported the same thing just last week. They were reporting to Ford.
Anybody else have this issue? Was it resolved? I'd hate for this to happen while driving because it is a really bad experience, could even be dangerous!!
