I bought the Auxbeam 8 gang and never installed it. I discovered the Garmin PowerSwitch and installed that instead. It operates on Bluetooth and has a surprisingly good range. I activate my ditch lights using the phone app which conveniently has a CarPlay integration so I can turn devices on/off from the 12” screen. The biggest drawback I’ve found is the lack of a physical switch for quickly turning them off for oncoming traffic (or if your phone dies). If I’m on a different screen I have to navigate back to the app to turn them off. Otherwise it works great and saves a ton of time/effort running wires through the firewall. Definitely worth looking into if you can live with just switching from the app. There are also two inputs so you can designate circuits to turn on when a voltage present. Good for backlighting when you wire one to a switched power source when the key is on.

Auxbeam makes a ton of different models, including ones that work via Bluetooth (your phone and/or included remote) AND they have physical switches for quickly turning on/off (as you described above).

Yes, that's how I install mine. Clearly, I didn't read your other post when you clearly asked about switched power ... ROTF. Clearly, my bad.
I figured it was something like that but wanted to make sure. lol

That's why I went with NovSight 8 gang switch, is because it was wireless instead of just Bluetooth and would get up to 165' away, or at least that's the claims. Bluetooth has a lot shorter of a range, like 1/5 of the 165'.

All of them will work great and you'll be able to find one for the application you're looking for. As I didn't want soft buttons in CarPlay, due to the slowness to get to them and turn them on or off, or even if you can connect to CarPlay, as we've all had those days.

What truck accessory would you want/need to enable/disable from 165' away? Can't think of any off the top of my head. Just curious.

Oh, I know, but just can't think of anything I really would want or need to enable/disable from that far away.

Train horn: LOL

I routed the wire through the firewall then ran it all the way across the upper portion on the wiper shroud. It is a absolute pain to get the wire through the firewall, but it can be done. I then mounted the relay module to to top of the fuse box. Then for the controller I tried to but it inside the sunglasses holder without modifying it but it didn’t fit. So I just removed to folding part and mounted it in the crevice left behind!
Do you have a photo where you mounted the actual auxbeam box deal in the motor?

Please ignore the messy wiring. I’m embarrassed enough about it.
But here is where I mounted my control box under the hood. Just mounted to an existing stud. Holding strong! Only reason it was put there is the length of cord for the control head was about a foot too short

Thanks for the quick reply- I believe that'll work, and wires don't ever bother me- you never know when you have to mess with one again- you should see my 67 Scout lol- Thanks again
