Ready this thread again I'm getting the feeling the 'avarage' F-150 owner is quite a bit different than it was 30 years ago.

Drive a GM product with the same 10 speed, then you will understand. The GM calibration makes Ford's transmission tuning look like a bunch of blind monkeys work there. Amazing how the same transmission with two different companies tuning them, can be worlds apartI really don't understand WHY our trucks need a update.. Should it not work great when it rolls out the plant? GPS sure.. Things change but a transmission? I just don't get it.
