Hi everyone. New member here. Just picked up a 2021 xlt crew cab last week. My question is does anyone else use a camera to view little ones in rear facing car seats? I have one that I’ve used in my previous suv and I just had the wires just laying over the dash that went to the monitor and the 12 volt cigarette style outlet. I’m planning on keeping this truck for a long time and am wanting to hide the wiring and make something a bit more permanent and keep from using the 12 volt plug in the dash
This is a picture from my suv that I just got rid of to get the truck. You can see that the wire just runs out the back and down the front of the dash

Looks like your poor girl has the sun in her eyes! ?

If you're not planning on having any more kids, I wouldn't go to great lengths to hide the wiring. You'll be turning that car seat around before you know it.

If you are planning on expanding your family more, do you have the outlet in the center console? That might be an easier option.

I have 3 kids, the oldest is learning how to drive. Trust me, time moves fast.

Yes my previous suv was a Ford Edge and on the way home from picking my son up from school the sun was at the worse possible angle that it came right through between the rear “spoiler” and the headrest. She wasn’t a fan. We had my son rear facing until his legs got too long to comfortably have him sitting backwards so I’m expecting her to be rear facing for a bit as she is only 3 months old.

I currently just have the monitor sitting in the tray under the hvac controls but I want it up on the dash so it’s able to be seen without me completely taking my eyes off the road.
I can take a picture and post it when I get off work

I'm not sure how you would get around having the power cable come down the dash, short of drilling a hole in the dash and feeding it down, which I'm not sure you'd want to do.

Unless I'm not understanding what you are trying to accomplish.
