Anyone install E&G half console vault (21+ F-150)?

Looking to reach out to those who installed the E&G half console vault for our 14th gens? Just place an order for one earlier today, is set to be delivered next week from US to Canada. Have a few questions to ask!

I will most definitely will update this thread with my unbiased opinions and thoughts about it when it comes and installed; I’ll give you a tag when I do.

Honestly to be straight, close this one over the full because I like the half safe one side and half open on the other side plus still use the tray.

I have nothing against full size! However love the half console because I leave my stuff locked up in there and leave without worrying. The otherwise is still available for paperwork, fiancée’s purse or whatever, etc for the time being then will install a hidden UHF work radio in that spot when the mount faceplate comes in. Fits perfectly and will still have a spot for papers right beside it. It’s a win-win.

I just installed this one in my 21 Lariat a few months back. It’s been a great addition. I like the flexibility of having part of the console locked and part of it not. I mainly installed it to store my concealed carry firearm if I am at a location I can’t carry into. I installed the Sticky Holsters Travel Mount Holster inside the safe. It fits my 43x in its Kydex holster securely.

The only thing I don’t like about this safe is, it’s only held in with a few self tapping screws into the bottom plastic of the console. The older year trucks Had a version of this safe that had metal bars that would mount under the console to bolt the safe into. So be very cautious to not over tighten the screws as they are just going into plastic.

Yeah thats what I'm saying it looks like it's pretty nice size and you still get some regular storage too.

i found another website that says it wont fit a King Ranch?? i am thinking its the work surface console, of which is not a KR exclusive item
i need to look closer at mount. three screws into plastic is not very secure

Ya the unsecured area is still large. The locked part is also roomy, at least with a sub compact inside. I got mine from realtruck.com. They have free shipping. Apollo-optics.com has it for $309. Real trucks said they price match but gave it to me for $312 if I remember.
