I looked into this same thing a number of months ago. I have a 22 PB and a Pixel as well. AA opens the Map app by default along with YTM and one other app stacked on the right side. That's the default action and can't be overrode according to my research and a few chats with Google support. Pretty much the only reason I don't use AA by default.
