Am I reading this right? Auto locking doors when you walk away?

Is this option possible on our trucks? Or is this some MachE or Lightning thing? Or am I totally misreading this section?

No. We have tried. It requires BCM also. NOW that isnt to say thats the casr for the lightning and Mach e.. The Mach E has a differetn BCM and they may come with it I dont know.

My wife’s equinox has this feature. I love just getting out walking away and about 10 sec. The horn chirps and you know it’s locked. Ford needs to add this. I can’t imagine the programming would be that hard for them especially if the Mach E can do it.

A base 2016 Miata has walk away locking. A car considered about as analog as you can get in modern times.
It's amazing the amount of tech Ford decided to make available in this new Gen14 truck. But that's a feature that I absolutely appreciate with the little Mazdarati.

I’m pretty sure our Jeep GC had that feature. Pretty cool.

Probably wouldn’t work for me on my truck if it was available since I never take the key out of it
