Almost 6-Month after joining Forum...finally pulled the trigger!

My dealer won't change from a 19, they claim that's were they set retail orders. They think once there's a VIN they can do something? I tried twice and they aren't going to move it....m

Sorry to hear that. I initially had 19 but learned from this forum how the priorities work. My dealer was willing to change it. However, I’m probably a poor example as I’m still waiting for my truck that was ordered in September. The biggest issue for us Canadians is we were at the back of the line for hybrids and the just started processing them this month. Things seem to be moving well now so maybe there won’t be much difference between a 10 and 19.

Guys the retail order is 10-19 but the priority is strictly for the dealership ordering list, not with Ford. The dealer priorities determines who's order goes first against their allocations.

A dealer may have 50 trucks ordered against 20 allocations that he has. The priority assigned determines which orders gets the allocation for that week, they just work down the list.

Some orders may be a very low number but won't get picked up because of a shortage for some option to that order, so they just go to the next order.

It's a mess and I don't know how they get it to work but some how do.

I'm Priority Code 10 with an order going back to September and no word, so I wouldn't worry too much about the switch from 19 to 10. Patience is a virtue (I repeat that a few times a day to talk myself into believing it!).
