Alexa while in motion?

Sorry if this has been listed before, I searched and couldn't find anything on it.

My Alexa only works if I am stopped or almost stopped. For instance, when I'm down the street from my house and say, "Alexa, open my garage door", it won't acknowledge anything until I am almost completely stopped. I have tried using the voice activation button and saying Alexa but no luck there either. Is this by design? Seems kinda ridiculous that I can't ask Alexa a question while in motion.

Does not sound right. I ask Alexa to play music, change cabin temperature, etc, while driving at speed.

Yeah something’s not right then. I’ve had Alexa find some locations while driving 70 down the interstate.

Me too I can get alexa to do anything If I am listen to seriusxm and say alexa change to channel 25 nothing happens I tried for about 5 minutes and gave up thought I would research it on youtube

Thanks for the replies. I thought that it made no sense that it didn't work while driving. I'm gonna have to dig further into it and see why it's not working as it should. I wonder if it has something to do with Sirius XM as Harry stated. I am almost always on Sirius. I'll have to try it when I'm not and see what happens.

She activated a day after my last master reset. I master reset 5 times.......

Lesson learned, be patient.

Edit - Do you mean the whole APIM update? If so, that was via FDRS

I figured out how to make Alexa work at speed, for me anyway. I started the truck and Sirius XM was already on. At a stop Alexa would acknowledge, once I started moving, nothing. While driving I switched my radio source to FM and tried Alexa and it worked perfectly, switched back to Sirius and it worked there as well. Not sure why I have to change sources, but that does the trick. Strange, but an easy enough work around that it's no big deal.
