Add a leaf installs??

I am curious if anyone has added a leaf spring from Auto Spring or anyone else? If so was it easy with no major complications?

Have you watched this? Seems a minor PITA in some respects, at least as done by this guy, a lot depending on tools available (got an oxy-acetylene torch?) ...

Why don't you just use the leaf pack from the Heavy Duty Payload Package F150s?

Yes I have. That was pretty rusted and was just hoping it was not a common problem trying to get the bolt off. lol

I have thought of that but could not find the part number to see how many leafs it had. Also I am sure it is not cheap.

The leaf springs from the Heavy Duty Payload Package is effectively an additional 650-750lbs of capacity for the rear axle. It's a 3 leaf design just like the Max Tow package (but with additional capacity from a higher effective spring rate).

Never added any extra leafs but I did add the Road Active Suspension aftermarket kit and love it. Helps with squat and subjective but I feel it helps with handling as well. May be a cheaper option than springs. Here’s a video on it

I got my RAS kit delivered the other day and should be installing it in the next week or so. I hope its been working out well for you!
