I'm just curious, has anyone activated their truck via ford pass before it got on the dealer's lot?

I added my new build, scheduled for 2/11/21, to my ford account and have been watching vehicle health to see if anythings pops up, like vehicle miles

I added mine that is sitting on a ramp in Dearborn, and tried to activate it but it needs something on the screen in the truck to be accepted. So it says "Activation Pending".

Is there any info that will show up without truck intervention? It won't show up on the map. The vehicle is in my Fordpass "garage" though.

Ah, same. I can see the activation button but that's it.

Same here. I didn't have the CGI image until 2 days ago. It was blank before then.

App needs to be synched while in the vehicle. Same as my Bronco Sport.

You can’t activate a vehicle without being in the truck to get an activation code for security to link the two. Otherwise anyone with your vin could link their Ford pass account to your truck lol

100% correct that you -can’t activate a vehicle without being in the truck to get an activation code for security to link the two. However, you can set everything up in Ford Pass using your VIN# and once you are in your truck then you can sync. My FP is established & all ready to go until I can sync it.

Right, was just hoping for passive pulled information (like location) without the controls. Basically was just a hail mary to see if I could watch it on the map. As you know, we're all pretty desperate and getting more and more antsy with every new owner posting pics and taking delivery!

I have added my truck to my Ford account and I am also just watching to see if anything changes. I'll be ready to roll when it hits the lot, though.

I put all the info in the app. When I picked it up it was just a few clicks in the truck and done. Any mischievous person doing a test drive can do the same thing.
