hi,

the other day, I plugged in our trailer and was confronted with a list of trailer service reminders for that trailer. I didn’t remember seeing that before. I had to hit the road and just clicked past it. Wheel bearings due at xxx miles, etc. Does anybody know how to get back to that menu? I can’t find it or make it pop up again. Thanks!

I had exactly the same thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago. The reminders popped up, I updated one of them, and then I dismissed it, never to see it again. I can’t find any way to bring it up again.

I thought the reminders might might have been triggered by a FORScan change I had just made to enable cameras at speed that referenced trailer back up assist. But since you saw the same thing maybe not.

Yeah, I haven’t used FORScan. I thought this must have come with an OTA update.

Certainly possible. I had also done an APIM update via FDRS around the same time I saw this. It was a nice feature. I hope there’s a way to unlock it. I have a vague recollection (emphasis on vague) that this is available on Super Duties.

if memory serves its in the tow haul menu when you set up a trailer
length, type etc don't recall a wheel bearing hit, but if its in there , its in the checklist area MAYBE

i have found if you sit and scroll through the menus, all kinds of stuff is in there that is either glossed over in the OM or simply not mentioned.

the light check IMO is really helpful if your alone,

First place I looked. I didn’t see it, at least not for a trailer that already had a profile set up. If you have a specific pathway to the maintenance menu I’d appreciate it.

Yeah, not there. This is something else that I hadn’t seen before.

i went out and adjusted miles and reset trailer settings and BOOM the navigation thing showed up
this was not there a few months ago
and yes i named it gilbert , it was fitting
i cannot find a mention anywhere for hub bearings. maybe i was wrong. but i could try to adjust miles towed and see if it pops up.. the checklist on the center stack was 9 items , which is new as it has pictures now.
once i re-selected the trailer blindspot and miles the new info bar showed up in the IP

i didn't plug in trailer so i have no idea if it pops up once plugged in. if it does ..then it makes sense to remind you about time on the bearings etc, that would be the time to double check

my bus has about 50 items that pop up after its aired up and ready to move. its pretty thorough , only thing it does not include is "WIFE" in bus, and not left at campground o_O

That’s the menu that I’ve always had. There was something different that popped up. That’s why I mentioned the wheel bearing thing. This was a checklist like “wheel bearings due in 1200 miles, brake adjust due in 1000 miles, etc.” it listed maybe ten things. It seemed to be based on the miles that had been recorded for my trailer on the truck. I couldn’t find anything online.

You and I are on the same page. I remember a list with about 10 different maintenance items—things like wheel bearings, tire rotation, lug torque, hydraulic brakes in XXX miles with a button to dismiss the reminder and I think a slider to adjust the interval. I saw it pop up one time—I didn’t even select it. It just popped up. And I’ve never seen it again.

Exactly. So glad you know because otherwise I would think I was imagining it. I just searched the Super Duty instructions and didn’t see anything.

if its in there, it must be triggered when you actually plug in the trailer and it knows which trailer is plugged?
maybe
