I am being told we won't know if I can apply incentives until the truck lands and I make a purchase. I am referring to the retail offers for financing, and the college student / recent grad $750 customer cash.

Does anyone have experience adding incentives on top of A plan purchases? The A plan service desk defers to the dealers here.

Thanks again for the help!

Using X-plan here which is similar. Whichever incentives are available when your truck comes in and you actually make the purchase will apply - this is what I've been told anyway. My truck will arrive just after the current XLT one expires (start of Feb), hoping Feb has another one that is as good or better...

that’s what I was told when I ordered and now there I got a different answer. I just wish I had a definitive answered on Ford or the dealership.

I have always received whatever rebates were available, on top of and in addition to, the A plan

Some incentive exclude A-Plan orders such as the PCO others like truck month, etc. do not. So you have to look at each incentive individually.

I was X-PLan and they added all incentives I qualified for including Ford financing incentive. A Plan could be a hold out....read the fine print on the offers that are listed on the Ford website. You can also print them all out and take them with you to the dealer. If they don't give them to you, just ask for your deposit back and walk away.

I understand this is an old thread. But here is the info.
When you order a truck with A plan(plan shouldnt matter) and you receive the vehicle, you have two options
1. Use the incentives on the day you ordered the vehicle(its locked in).
2. Use the incentives on the day you received your vehicle.
You can chose whichever is better. This should be independent of what plan you are using to purchase the vehicle.

I got the $600 discount for retail purchase on my lariat, and then a $750 recent grad credit. Nothing special in January really.

One additional incentive they have is worth $1000 if you go with ford credit financing.
Since FC financing might have high interest, just get the financing for the incentive and then refi after the first month.
You end up losing some small amount for interest (depending on your re-fi rate), but overall you save atleast 750+ doing this.
It's a hassle, so some might not want to do all this work for 750 which is understandable.

My dealer wouldn’t give me my private offer and x-plan pricing so I called Ford marketing department that sent me the private offer. They told me the dealer could contact their zone manager and get this approved and lock in my incentive. If ordering I will get the best offer available. The GM thought I was crazy at first but said he does have a zone manager. He did as I suggested and got it approved with the zone manager. X-plan and private offer is $8,500 off msrp (Lariat 501a) and I’m waiting for my MY22 to come in. It might be a while but worth the wait for the discount!

I had read that as well. However, I asked my dealer when ordering my truck (about a week or so ago) and they said I can only get the offer at time of purchase. Do you know who I can talk to confirm what you mentioned?

What's a private offer?
Sometimes Ford will mail you a post card that states it is a private offer. The dealer can go into their system, punch in your name and address to verify if you received one. Mine was for an extra $2,500 off.

Hi,
This is very clearly outlined in the ford website, FAQ on ordering vehicle.
Here is the link.
https://www.ford.com/custom-order/#5

I also took a snip of the question

So I called ford marketing because I wanted to order a vehicle but my private offer was going to expire before the truck would come in. They told me the dealer can call their zone manager and get the private offer locked in for my purchase. The GM at the dealership told me he had never heard of that but he did have a zone manager and would email him. The next day the dealer contacted me and said that I was right and they locked my private offer in with the zone manager.
