8/2 Build Week

Well, the Ford tracker still shows a 9/2 eta, the dealer is seeing 9/5 on his report. So I'm guessing the date is now sliding..... At least it's days instead of weeks or months....

Today is the one month mark from my build date. Every one tells me it's 100% built and not waiting on anything. It's still "In Production" with the original delivery dates of 9/15-9/21.

Update:
Finally delivered on 08/24/21 to the dealership. Keep in mind it takes at least 1 to 2 days for the dealership to conduct their inspections and "accept" the vehicle. Since mine old truck is a buyback, I have had to wait for Ford corporate to ensure all paperwork is completed through them first. I will hopefully be taking delivery this Friday 09/3.

Spoke with my dealer this morning and for the first time, he told me the delay is actually due to chip shortage. According to him its ready to ship once the chip is installed. We will see. Tracker still showing 9/6 delivery date

That's crazy... My dealer and PF have been saying all along that I'm waiting on nothing.

This is the story I keep getting too. I've suspected its due to a chip shortage. Just doesn't make any sense to never move on from "in production".

I was thinking the xact same thing! (Looking for my truck in that picture). Ill bet it's there. Incidentally, I received a denial on my fordpass activation yesterday, after 3 weeks of no activity. Maybe started the truck to move it out of the swamp.

To be fair to the dealers, I think ford started posting microchip hold statuses today. My dealer was surprised when he saw it today, and went back to check his other builds and others subsequently showed the same status.

Regardless, my ETA remains 9/6. We'll see if it holds. Good luck, all.

This is what PF just told me in a chat.....


My system only shows that it was last updated on 8/04, it is listed as in production / produced.

There is an ETA date of 9/15 - 9/21 which is usually reserved for shipping data, but I think in this case it may be when the system might update the order.

I would say check back with us shortly after the 9/21 date, and let's see if the system updated.

My ETA end date is today. Built 8/5 and sitting “in production” ever since.
Dealer gave an update saying it is waiting for a chip….he even took a picture of his tracking screen to show thats what it actually says
