8/2 Build Week

After seeing @victimofareload say he bought one off his dealers lot, I thought I would see what my dealer may have in. The last few weeks they have had nothing, but now they have 4. I checked the wrongdoer stickers off them and the ones with a blend date, were dated in March... so it took them over 5 months to get those trucks in (all convoy same as mine). I hope this don't hold true for any of us in limbo.

Has anyone else looked to see if there dealers are getting anything, and if so, what the build dates were on them?

My dealer has zero trucks, 4 Eco Sports, and 1 Edge on the new lot. 4 used trucks and 1 used Explorer on the used lot.

Usually has about 5-10 F150’s on the lot normally.

My dealer has 11 F150's on the lot. 3 trucks with blend dates of 8/3 to 8/4 and several from the last week of July. It really pains me that my truck (that was ordered a full month before the dealer stock trucks), and built a couple days after, is still in Dearborn with a primary status of 'in production". Grrr!

Also, all three of those trucks from our 8/2 build week were shipped on 8/5 and delivered in 14 days.

I was tracking the dealer trucks along with mine. Seeing them be built and shipped out the next day and assuming mine was going to do the same and then this 20 days of being stuck "in production" (but being assured that its built and just waiting for a train) really chaps my a$$ at this point. I guess it is what it is...but how annoying.

I was tracking the dealer trucks along with mine. Seeing them be built and shipped out the next day and assuming mine was going to do the same and then this 20 days of being stuck "in production" (but being assured that its built and just waiting for a train) really chaps my a$$ at this point. I guess it is what it is...but how annoying.

I totally feel ya since I'm in the same boat. So was this simply luck of the draw that these dealers received their orders from Dearborn so quickly or is the factory and Ford purposely shifting their transportation priorities to dealer/lot orders instead of custom orders?

That's the part that makes me mad, because ford states this in the custom order faq's

How long will it take to have my vehicle delivered?
Lead times will vary by model and configuration, but Ford will make every effort to expedite your order.

I think the dealers are hurting so bad that they are sending them stock orders just to get something on the lot for them.

My truck had a march blend date. All the ones showing up at dealers around here right now are march.

What is the customer verification process?

This thread has a description of the Customer Order Verification Program. Look at post #4 for explanation. When I completed my Retail order on 7/6 the Dealer Rep got a copy of my Drivers License, a $500.00 deposit, information with my address and e-mail address and signature.

Finally found it in another thread, post #4 on this want related, lol. My dealer did get my drivers license about that time, so I'm sure I am verified. Still, I went to another dealership today, they have about 5 xlt'sand a Lariat all built week of 7-26, and one xlt was a build week of 8-2. So hoping my estimated delivery date sticks and I can share pics with you all soon.

Hope this bodes well for all of us too. Looks like the 7-26 BW guys started getting there trucks last week too

Does anyone know if Jack Cooper Transport, even though they are probable short drivers, is operating or does operate 24/7?

Question about custom order rebates. I'd seen on here that the rebate for custom orders placed after April 1st had gone up from $500 to $1000 and in some cases $1500. Does anyone know what it would be in the Northeast? I'm taking delivery Tuesday and my dealer said smartvincent shows $500 but he's heard of $1000 so he's going to call Ford Monday but that the $1000 might be region specific.

No updates this weekend on my production status, but there are a couple of very similar dealer ordered trucks that are either built/ship or scheduled to be built this week that may very well arrive before my order, not surprisingly. I *may* look at this option if things don't change soon on my current build. We now know that Ford is pushing inventory to the dealers faster than customers, so we'll see if I can take advantage of the shifting winds.
