Dealer came through and I got my truck in just over 10 weeks. Best car buying experience I ever had. I was a little worried about market conditions since we did trade numbers in June but it worked out all around.

My tracker updated, but not for the better. Yesterday, it was saying 8/21 ETA (today)...

Then late last night the date disappeared...

Then this morning, I got a new date...

Been waiting 16 days in Limbo, and I just got another 16 added

Based on this and what some others have said, it looks like if you hit your ETA date with no shipping info, the system might just automatically bump you by half-a-month, and that until you hit 'Built' your ETA date is probably just placeholder data.

For us Limbo guys let's "call our shots". I will guess that my truck moves to built and shipped on the 25th. That will be three weeks to the day that it was built.

I don't even know what to guess. It's still a bit of a gut punch that my dealer has 3-4 trucks from our build week delivered, photographed, and ready to go on the website, while I'm still "in production". It would be nice to see it ship sometime this week before my posted 8/29 delivery ETA.

I am going to guess the 24th for me, I'm optimistic.

This should be the point where we all put in $10 and the last guy left on the Limbo List gets the pot, as a consolation prize.

True but I still check it just a few times a day. I'm thinking there doing a massive update and all our trucks will show shipping with ETA's when it comes back online.

Hey All, Made an account just to join the thread.

I didn't order a 21 directly. But found one that was ordered by my dealer for delivery and got my name on it.

21 Powerboost, 4WD, XLT 302A. Black. With the 7.2KW Pro Power onboard.

I'm SUPER excited about getting this truck to replace my 2013 XLT Ecoboost. It's been good to me but it's time shes retired. Trading her in.

I had a production date of 8/3 with no update yet. Estimated Delivery of 8/28.

Now, I'm a telecom engineer. I got tired of refreshing my tracker and found the API that the tracker references. This is the same API that the other trackers use to show you your order status. I wrote a small app that checks my order once every five minutes and if anything on it changes. It sends me a message. I noticed today at 6:35AM EST it also started erroring. I seem to recall it doing this last sunday as well. But maybe I'm wrong. You also get "System error, try again later" which using the official ford tracker.

Anyways, I imagine you all, like me. Are refreshing trackers like mad. I found one interesting detail. My build again was ordered 6/16, production 8/3 (in limbo, like many of you). And I an estimated delivery of 8/28. Now in the API, they call the Estimated Delivery date "etaEndDate". The API also returns a value called "etaStartDate" which isn't referenced anywhere on any of the trackers. My etaStartDate is 8/22 (today). I have no idea what this "etaStartDate" actually is. Perhaps an estimated "ship" date? That doesn't make sense as it's 1 week ahead of my estimated delivery and I'm 2 weeks from dearborn looking at other trucks (Central Florida).

Very curious to see the API come back up to see if any of my info has changed. And I'd love to figure out what this "etaStartDate" really is.

Once the API is back up. You can use this link to see exactly what I'm talking about. It's going to return a giant "JSON" array of data. But if you read the first few lines you'll see all the dates all the trackers reference. Including your etaStartDate. Just fill in your Vin and Order number in the URL.

Ooo. So about that. I'm not a programmer by any means. My "app" (Brace for technical mumbojumbo) is just a bash script and some nodejs in Node-red. It's text in a file running on a cron loop. Not like an Android/iOS app. It's held together with duct tape and rubber bands and isn't user friendly AT ALL.

In it's current rendition, it sends me messages in Telegram (A messaging app I use on Android/iOS a lot).

Let me see if I can add a few quality of life improvements to it so it doesn't email someone 1500 times before I can do something about it... As well as make it send emails instead of telegram messages. If I can get it working decently, I'll offer to add additional trucks/users to it. Obviously it's something I'm doing in my spare time for free. So it wouldn't come with any guarantees on anything (Like if it'll work at all). Let me give it a go and I'll report back.

Okay, I've managed to modify it enough that I think it might work.

Let me preface this with YOU MAY GET A TON OF EMAIL from my app. I believe I have logic built in that should prevent you from getting blown up and while I've tested this, things could change and it could break in "interesting" ways. Any time the app sends an email, I also get a notification about it. So at the very least. If it starts hammering someone I'll stop it as soon as I see all the notifications. But if it occurs overnight (while I'm sleeping), It might be a few hours and you might end up with ~100 emails. The system emails on a 5 minute interval. So worst case you get an email every five minutes till I fix it. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK.

What I'm going to need from anyone that wants to participate is 1. Your order Number. 2. Your VIN. 3. Your email address. I'd recommend you private message them to me instead of posting them here for the world to see.

With the ford order tracking still broken, I won't get everyone setup immediately. I still need to see what happens when the API comes back to life. Possibly work out any further bugs I find.

Again, I'm not a programmer and it's VERY likely bugs arise. I have a day job and everything done here is best-effort. I make no guarantees on performance, but am happy to take comments and questions.

With that said. Damn I wish they would fix the tracking API already. I'm jonesn' for an update.
