This is starting to get depressing!

5-13 Ordered
6-15 VIN received and given 8-2 build date
7-5 Find out build is pushed to 8-9
7-26 Dealer tells me 8-9 still good with 8-26 ETA
7-28 Build is pushed to 8-30

Almost 17 weeks! I am happy you guys are getting your trucks fast, but I didn't think it would take people as long as it has! I know more have been waiting longer, I feel for you guys!
I wish Ford was better at communicating "Why" to people.... I could be off but it feels like June orders have been going very smooth. I hope you have reason to get excited soon!

So what exactly is a "blend date"?

Eh, my June 11th order that was supposed to be built 8/2 got pushed to September on 7/28 as well. Happy for people it's going well for but man I wish they were better at communicating. Worst part is my dealer has been pretty radio silent unless I've reached out and bugged them. A once-a-week text or call, or even email (even if it's just to say no changes this week) shouldn't be to much to ask, especially considering the fact there isn't any inventory for them to sale.

So what exactly is a "blend date"?
AFAIK, blend date is the day they put the parts for your specific truck on the line.

Yeah my dealer has been very quiet. I have to do all the reaching out. Even had to ask them if they needed my DL to give to Ford To make process go faster. They better hope the delivery/trade-in portion goes well. Or I’ll be doing my business elsewhere.

Mine refused to provide my order number, their dealer code and lied and said I didn't have a VIN even though I did. I'm unhappy to say the least

Wow. I’m sorry you were treated that way. It’s frustrating. I dont want the red carpet treatment and I don’t want my ass kissed. But I do expect a dealership to at least act like they appreciate my business/investment.

EXACTLY!! Especially for the amount we are spending. I at least expect to have my basic questions answered and not get lied to. And I don't mean dates getting pushed back, I was prepared for that. But 3, almost 4 months of silence after they took my $1k then lying to and withholding info from me is inexcusable. I would cancel it and use a different dealership, but the powerstroke final orders deadline had already passed by the time I found out

Powerstroke huh? Thats exciting. Will have to let us know about the mpg.

and yes I thought about canceling and going to another dealer…..but I also didn’t want to risk not getting my truck this year. That and the few options I wished I put on my truck….

If the 3.0 sub forum is accurate about mpg, it should be pretty high even while towing, unlike what I've read about the powerboost

I have heard great things about the PS diesel. Although I will admit I never considered it as I’m addicted to the 3.5 Eco. Really excited to try the gen3 motor. Seems they have upgraded it a lot since 2013.

Anyway I think it’s a mistake to drop that motor. All the competitors are offering a diesel in the half ton. And there are people that are hard core diesel people. So why not get all the market share you can? A customer is a customer right?

Probably a logistics nightmare with the shortages already going on. And apparently it wasn't selling well, but when you never advertise a product that tends to happen. It's alright though, the engine has been around for a while so parts will be available for a looong time, but a 2021 with it will be extremely rare ?

Agreed. Think I read somewhere it’s like 2-3% of total F150s. And yes they needed to advertise it more. Here in Iowa they would have sold more. And it would have been a great option on the farms that didn’t want/need a SuperDuty.

Yep. They were actually in Waterloo last night. I grew up there(work there) and now live 15 minutes away. Never attempted Ragbrai. But I hear it’s a blast and a helluva party every night. Awful heat this year tho.
