But for real, not a chance Ford with your lackluster BC package I'd pay an extra dollar for it right now. Give us BC 1.3 and let's see how it is and maybe I'd consider it.

2021s WILL NOT be getting BC 1.3. This news came from the rep on the Ford OTA line. I called in asking about the $600 offer, to ensure that BC 1.3 would be coming to the 2021s; otherwise it wasn't worth the $600 to keep the wandering drunk BC v1.0.

I have been searching for more BC 1.3 info. I did see this article on MotorTrend from Aug-23.

The last paragraph seems to omit MY2021 from the earlier vehicles BC 1.3 will support.

I had received the very same offer just today, but I don't think much of BT I must admit, but at only $17/ month it's probably just worth hanging on to. I mean barely.

The gal at Ford didn't say... Just that it was not on the list of vehicles that would be getting the BC1.3 update, only 2022+....

I guess the truth is that if they said: "sure you can get 1.3, that will be $900/ year", I still wouldn't be interested, so I guess it's all the same.

So they told me that there is no hardware limitations on my (Limited) '21 F150, yet there are no plans to release an OVER-THE-AIR update.

They actually told me to go to my dealer and said that the dealer might be able to load it on my truck from the computer.

Cool! I will be interested to see if they are consistent in their messaging.... As for the $600/3 years, really if they are abandoning the '21 owners ability to upgrade, they should just give the BC 1.0 functionality free of charge as a concession... But I know that isn't gonna happen....

Hmmmm. Interesting.... Their comments were a bit more specific saying that BC 1.3 is not planned for 2021 at all, OTA or not. Only 2022+....

Let us know if you are successful in getting the dealership to update. My experience with the dealership is that if there are no error codes being thrown so that they can bill back the warranty service, you will have to pay their going hourly rates for the updates. Last time I went that route to get BC 1.0 operational, my truck spent 8 weeks in the shop.
