Activate Vehicle just showed up in FordPass app.

Anyone know what this does if you Activate it?

I pressed mine throughout the journey. First press lasted roughly 25 days then was denied. 2 days later I was built, was on chip hold. Pressed again. Went about 28 days, denied and then shipped in two days. If the driver moving your vehicle hits the deny access before the time runs out on default you can kinda blindly get info. I've seen someone mention 30 or 45 days before it defaults to deny. Nothing confirmed.

I tried hitting it since I saw where someone’s activated to see it’s location. Mine automatically says error and try again after taking delivery.

When it does become available it will say pending. I'd keep trying it over time.

Edit- you won't be able to see location unless someone hits accept on the dash screen.

So I was thinking about my change in status from In Production to Built today on the way home. Why has it changed today if the KC plant has been shutdown since Monday??? Is it the system just catching up? Or are there “office” people working to get caught up with status of trucks?

Any thoughts or insight?

Edit: Seems a number of people in the other June build groups receiving Built status updates and Built Emails today.

Received the Built Email this morning. ETA is earlier than what Ford Chat advised however it was still In Production at that time. The short ETA is because Ford Granger is less than 200 miles from KC Plant.

Edit: Seems a number of people in the other June build groups receiving Built status updates and Built Emails today.

I would think only the line workers are off this week, since the purpose is cleaning/maintenance of the "line".

I would think everyone else is still working. The trucking/rail folks should still be working, as is the office folks.

pure guesswork of course.

WOW - Another update today.

I cannot access the Ford Tracker at the minute but OrderTrack shows I am in Transit.

It doesnt show the date on shipped. This is quicker than expected. I was about to start working on what the best finance options are either through Ford Credit or local CU. Gotta move quick on it now.

all these updates are killing me......jealousy is strong today.

the only update I received is a mouse took a dump on my yet to be installed drivers seat.

does anyone know when the line is starting back up? 7am Monday or?

Archer - can you do me a favor when you truck shows up next week? I was wondering if the active air damn is installed on trucks with the Snow Plow package.

Can you take a look and see if that part is installed?

No one can answer me at Ford or dealer.

Well my salesman sent me a text earlier that said my truck was built and in transit... I guess the tracker is wrong because its still showing in production?
