My VDR went to From Microchip hold to "Microchip in plant, chip hold" yesterday, and then to released today, so just waiting on deliver.

while I was picking it up yesterday at the dealer, 3 XLTs came in too.

only big mistake was a factory spray in liner. asked for LineX and rep made the Input mistake. $300 off and I took it as is. Note how much less coverage there is around the tailgate. Factory application is also thinner then LineX

I had a long conversation with a regional Ford rep last night. It's a vicious cycle. There have been no cars or trucks to speak of to ship for months. The carriers got tired of sitting around waiting for loads and either moved on or changed freight type. Now that they have all these trucks and SUV's ready to ship there is not enough transportation. Vehicles are sitting days or weeks instead of hours or a day. Again you would thing the geniuses under the direction of Jim Farley at Ford would red flag these old orders and express ship them. I have been lied to so many times by Ford this round. I pressed them to ship directly my truck from Dearborn to my dealer. They emphatically said they had no way to do that, all trucks and cars go to the East Coast by rail the a short trip from depot to the dealer by truck. There was some idea that my first truck was arriving yesterday expressed by Ford logistics. I was at the dealership yesterday afternoon and three carriers of trucks pulled in his lot. He walked over to the trucks and mine was not on them. He asked them how many trucks were being unloaded at the depot and they said they didn't come from the depot, they hauled these loads from Dearborn. Again, you can't make this up. Jim Farley and his team are in way over their heads.
I remember that being a selling point back on my 2016 at linex, they do the entire tailgate, as they said things get jammed in that section when lifting the gate, which absolutely does happen! I was told linex was better than factory and i feel as though it is, I just did it at the factory as I figured it’s done, my dealer doesn’t do it on site so it’s another 2days messing around getting it done, plus, my truck will not see any construction or other damaging cargo, it’s basically a people hauler. My build date was 4/27 so hopefully yours is close
Depending on Trim, mirrors are black or chrome
My 4/29 just updated yesterday and is now built.
