My turn for wheels - Shelby Wheels on my '24 Lariat BAP

Finally got around to putting the Shelby wheels on my '24 Lariat BAP. Rims pushed the sidewalls outward about 2" or so, which is exactly what I was after. Back end has been dropped with rear block removals.

Since it spends most of it's time on pavement, I went with 275/65x20 Conti TerrainContact H/T. These tires are NIGHT & DAY difference from the stock Hankooks. So much better on the road already, but waiting to see the improvement in wet traction over the next few rainy days.

On a side note, with the amount of surface rust on my rear axle after one year, I'm very impressed with the way the rotor hats look on these stock brakes. No rust or oxidation at all, which really takes away from the look of clean wheels, imo.

I have the Conti H/Ts as well. They are fantastic in both snow and rain.

Good to know! I heard they were great in the wet and passable in the snow. I'll prob throw snow tires on the factory rims, mostly to save the Shelby wheels from the salt up here.

Looking at my pics, can't even tell I clay bar'd the entire truck, put a sealer/glaze on, and then wax. So much pollen up here right now.

This is based on a 2023 2.7 I had:
Same as the stock hankooks. Slightly better than falken AT3Ws. Maybe 1mpg better.

Good looking wheels. Adding some shelby fender flares to complement the wheels. I think there made by bushwacker.

This never even crossed my mind with tire selection...nor with the purchase of the truck, lol

But these are not aggressive tires, per say. They have a much better tread pattern and seem a bit harder than the Hankooks. I would think any difference between them would come down to tire pressures and right foot pressure

Tires are actually the same size as the stock 20s that came on the truck. Just a different brand and wheel offset. We have a recent speed checker thingy the Five-O put up recently, speedo is dead on.

If you don’t mind sharing where you got those wheels I’d appreciate it. I have Terrain Contacts too and I like the way they look with your wheels.

American Truck, actually. Got them last summer during a sale but didn't want to put them on right before the winter.

The TerrainContact H/Ts do have a much nicer sidewall than I thought. Didn't think they'd look aggressive enough but I'm really happy with them.

Ford must have changed the tire size as my 21 came with 275/60/20s. Wheels look sweet btw
