2024 F-150 RCSB - Hybrid Ambient Lighting Install

I was a little bummed out that the OEM Ambient lighting wouldnt work on my 24 but I wasnt going to be defeated, I did the console swap on Saturday and finished up the wiring earlier, this is a combination of OEM parts with an aftermarket Fiber Optic lighting module and it came out perfect, if anyone else is interested in this I can provide the parts needed and assist with whatever questions to do the install.

I am interested in the parts! I am working on a custom trim panel for an expedition rotary shifter to replace the Stick shifter in the center console and I was thinking about lighting it with fiber. I bought some PMMA filament and was going to light it with a OEM LED tapped off the ambient lights. How did you light the cupholder with the fiber?

The more I see console swaps while keeping the column shifter, makes me just want to keep the column shifter. Its not too bad and Im finally used to using that thing. Plus you have much more room in the center console. Nice work on the lighting. I am wanting to do something like this soon.

Really appreciate you sharing! Where did you pickup the Ambient Light sense/trigger from on your install? - was checking the interior fuse box for a tap - but don’t see anything obvious

Did you do Forscan changes so you can change the colours from the infotainment screen or did they loose the option for changing colours when they went to the 14th gen?

Have you or has anyone considered running two of these modules and send illumination to the door panels to reclaim ambient lighting? On my 2025 the four LED slits and four holes are still present in the door panels, however they lack the LEDs, harness, and BCM lacks logic too support ambient lighting.....
