Welcome to the 2022 F150 Adventure Truck thread. I thought I'd start a thread to introduce my rig as well as catalog what I end up doing with it and to it. Rig is a 2022 F150 SuperCrew FX4 3.5 EB. I'm hoping to have a long future with the F150. This is a real world thread that will show the good, bad, and ugly.

So, what's been the not so good part of this ownership so far?

So far, the rough idle and B&O seems to be fixed since the last dealer visit. It may have been battery related as they replaced the battery under warranty.

In keeping with the winter prep theme, I scored some 23 takeoffs in one of my favorite factory designs with some Nordman 9 Studs installed. Just in time . I have to say, this truck with this tire combo is one of the best winter rigs I’ve driven.

I ran into an issue that evidently not all of the Motorcraft washer fluid that is supplied is winter rated, so I had to change it out. I disconnected the little hose on the fender side to pump it out. Is the hose routing correct on this?

Truck was in such good shape I had a clear bra installed for the headlights, hood, fenders, under grill painted strip, mirrors and door handles. It came with a spray in bedliner.

I dropped the truck off for service to have a few items looked at before the basic warranty ended. Thought I would have them check the wind noise I was getting with both doors when I drove across Wyoming as well as the driver‘s door looks to sag just a little bit. I also noticed harsh shifting between gears 5 through 8 on that trip randomly at times. Lastly, sometimes I notice the doors don’t lock or unlock when I touch the handle even though I have a key fob in my pocket. Picked up the truck and they validated all concerns except the locks. They did a relearn on the trans and now I have an occasional harsh downshift to 4th I think. No CDF drum problems. They said that they tightened the doors all the way. Drivers doesn’t sag quite as much. Not sure if I should mess with it anymore. Door locks are working fine now.

With all the battery power issues these trucks have I thought I’d get a monitor like @Snakebitten has talked so much about and see how the new battery from November is doing I charged Monday night after getting it back from sitting at the dealer for 10 days. Notice the made in China sticker on the Motorcraft label. Truck was driven back and forth to work the past 4 days.

So that 12.29v is a live reading. Did you have the voltmeter installed Monday when you charged the battery?

What I'm really asking is what the app shows for the daily logging plots?

I installed the voltmeter this morning, moving it from the wife’s car. That was the first reading.

Weather was finally warm enough today to install my Christmas present, some wheel well liners. You don’t really realize how much better they make the truck look until you do it yourself.

Switched over to synthetic 5W-30 oil for improved cold start performance. Considering adding an oil pan heater for the days it gets colder. With the turbos I’m leaning towards staying with the 5W over the 0W since there aren’t a ton of days below -20.
