Finally got a bit of rain, perfectly timed after washing my truck this morning..

303 Graphene does hate water though.. ?

I have done to twice, I have mixed feelings on it. It wears off fast on the lower parts of the truck where the wheels spray. It rains all the time here in Buffalo, so it takes a week to wear off the lower half of the truck and water stops beading and dirt sticks again. The upper portions last a long time though.

I used 303 Graphene on my 2021 F150 Platinum last fall and it was still beading water (top & sides) in January when I swapped it. I'm trying out Cerakote on my new truck and car. It's slipperier than the 303.

Going to work.
I have used both the 303 as well as the Turtlewax graphene paste wax with awesome results. I like the hydrophobic properties and the amazing shine. I usually clay bar the truck then apply the graphene paste wax for what I feel is better than new look! I use the Turtlewax Hybrid solutions detailer for quick maintenance touchups.

Hey James!. The protection is not dead. It is simply dirty. Even if you just washed it! The soap used was not strong enough to actually clean the surface.

If it truly only lasts a week, you may have bought a graphene detail spray instead of the spray coating. There is a HUGE difference in the longevity of protection between the two. Maybe check the bottle to see what it says.

yes, the 303 I bought is just a quick detailer. They may have a better product than this bottle. The bottle I bought was about $30, nowhere near a $250 bottle of real ceramic coat so I wasn’t expecting the same results. It’s not that it is bad, but it is not materially better than Maguiars Gold Class Carnauba Wax. They fair about the same (1 week or so) in heavy wheel spray. If I’m applying it bi-weekly or monthly I’d rather smell wax, I enjoy the smell of fresh carnauba :)

That should last way longer than a week. That is indeed the spray coating that you should get about 3-6 months of real world protection out of each application.... I bet the lower panels aren't truly clean after the wash.

I too like the smell of carnuba but personally cant stand the time it takes to apply it! I love to use Meguiar's Synthetic Express Spray Wax. That stuff smells like summer and make the surface super slick and stays on for months! I used to use it professionally until I found Technicians Choice

Haha I’m telling you man I hand wash the truck, don’t do car washes. I cleaned the panels very good it doesn’t bead after some drive time on the lower half of the doors. I’ll take a pic tomorrow after work and run the hose on it. Stark difference as the top still beads up and dirt falls right off, bottom becomes a dirt magnet and you have to scrub like crazy to get it off.

Not a 303 hater at all, I use their vinyl and plastic stuff on my boat as well as their sunbrella waterproofer. Good stuff, but I didn’t find the Graphene to be too great.

Is it Tec582 that you're using instead of xpress spray wax? Have you noticed any difference in attraction to dust between the two products?

I've recently tried the 303 Nano Graphene and it does work well. I use Exoforma stuff too and it seems to be very similar. I also use the Exoforma graphene wash soap and it definitely helps bring the shine and water beading back to life, especially on the lower parts of the door and windshield.

Its about the same honestly. There is so much static on the paint surfaces to prevent or lower the chances of much dust being rejected. The only difference is the longevity of the products.

The Meg. Xpress Spray Wax lasts about 3 months realistically. I usually use that when people specifically ask for a 'wax' because it's better than any hand wax out there, in my opinion, with it being synthetic (aka sealant) and its so much easier and faster to apply and remove vs. a hand wax. It can also be applied in direct sunlight and as a mobile detailer that is HUGE.

I use TEC581 when I'm maintaining a coated vehicle. It will bond better to the ceramic coating since SiO2 products stack and will realistically stay on the coated surface for about 2 months. Only expect maybe 2 weeks on a non coated car. Keep in mind it is only a detail spray! As a stand alone product it still works great. It's what I have on my truck since I can't get the time to actually coat my own vehicle with my FT job and detailing on the side... I apply it after every wash, so it stacks up every time and keeps a good layer of protection!
