New eta to dealer is 5/29. Checked train this morning and it should be in New Orleans early tomorrow morning. Then the wait to get picked up to dealer starts. Certainly not expecting 5/29 from what I’ve seen. I’m thinking should be at dealer between 6/1 and 6/10.

I am going to have a unique situation.

My delivery was bumped to August. I found a truck pretty much identical to mine for sale and just purchased it. That means I will have my other truck coming maybe in August.

I figured rather than cancel my order and the the dealership then hiking the price above MSRP I would ask if anyone here that was massively delayed would want it at MSRP plus what ever their fees are.

I am planning on buying and getting the title then just selling it to a fellow forum person.

The VIN is 1FTFW1ED4NFB08099 if anyone wants to check it out. Think this is a good deed or too much hassle?

I think its a nice thought, but who wants to pay MSRP for what will be a used vehicle?

I think he’s talking about the new august vehicle. While that’s nice, it seems like quite the headache just to do a favor for someone you don’t even know.

Yup, but it would still technically be a used vehicle and 2nd owner. Definitely a great idea, but to much work imo

I am talking about the August vehicle. I just hate the dealerships getting these in for cancelled orders and seeing them online for 10k or more over MSRP. Seems like they are just sticking it to us when we don't deserve it.

Prices may start coming down. Between the effects of inflation, higher interest rates, and higher gas prices on potential buyers, this Market Adjustment BS might be coming to a halt. Like others have said, big big hassle. I had a second truck on order that I cancelled after my first truck arrived. At the time of order, 12/21, the dealer knew that cancellation was a potential, so cancellation was not an issue.

Train made it to New Orleans last night! Trying to hold off on excitement until I see my vin as pending pickup on United roads which will probably be tomorrow or Thursday after they get everything offloaded. Took 10 days from Dearborn to NO. Give it 2 weeks to get to the dealer and the latest I should have it is likely 1/10 at the latest which is fine because I’ll be out of town next week.

Also, in the mean time, i took the toolbox off my current truck and gave it some love. Waxed and polished and put a new badge on it. Turned out pretty well compared to how oxidized it looked.

So my wife dropped off her bronco for an oil change this morning and captured the pic below. Tracker confirmed shortly thereafter that it’s mine. Seven months journey is just about over…
