Man, that’s honestly one of the most ridiculous customer service fails I’ve ever seen if that indeed holds true. I just really don’t believe it would take 4 months to get a chip into a truck. No fucking way

I finally received a built email, and delivery estimate of July 12-18. Was "In Production" for about 45 days. Just yesterday, chat told me my delivery would be May 22-27, which I knew was not realistic.

I would arguably rather of gotten this email that pushed it out 2 months rather than it changing to a week out every time it misses a delivery window. Hopefully that is an accurate delivery window and they are getting their estimated timing back on track.

I said the same thing when my eta got pushed from February 28 to May 17, figured they were gonna get back on track, well it’s May 17 and my truck still isn’t even built, been in production since 1/10, I’m goin to another dealership next week to see about a new Toyota tundra, I will never order another ford after this experience

I found several trucks that are close to what I have on order. Contacted 3 different dealers. There are no incentives for dealer ordered trucks. Combine that with the price increases since I originally ordered and I would be in the neighborhood of 10 grand more for a truck that isn't exactly what I want. So I'm stuck waiting ???

It sux they don’t build orders first. I would have to guess that Ford will fill the orders this year if the VIN is assigned. If u can Hold out, You’ll get a sweet deal in the end. Drive it or trade it and capitalize on the windfall.

Oh most definitely. My buddy works at the bronco plant and they said they cut their hours and most of their chips for the lightning. Lol

I just realized we ordered the exact same day and have the exact same chip hold release.

Man if I don’t get my truck BY JULY 20th I’m walking into the ford headquarters and raising hell. This is such bullshit, idc about the chip shortage. Stop having people order trucks and saying 6-8 weeks for delivery and it’s been 22 weeks so far lol. It’s so damn irritating. At this point we might as well order a 23!

Absolutely just keeping this thread updated. Hopefully next time it scans it has made it a few hundred more miles. I’m about 600 miles from New Orleans as it sits now

How do you find out the ETA of the end of your chip delay? Unfortunately I think I need to know this information haha
