My update from Chat this evening. Previous hold was until 4/12/22. Been in production since 4/1/22.

"I see that your F-150 is In Production, meaning that it is presently being manufactured at the Ford Dearborn Assembly Plant. There is a disposition of Micro Chip At Plant On Hold and a Secondary Status of Delay - Plant Hold. There is also an ETA of 30-APR-2022."

I'm sooo close - was going to go pick up my new truck but then got a text from the salescritter saying they are seeing a "number of fault lights turning on" that they'll want to fix before delivery. Better before than after for sure, but yet more delay is disappointing. (Though I know many of you have been waiting a lot longer than me!)

Sigh.

Man, at this point I would be okay if the dealer called me and said truck arrived and it’s the wrong color

How are they rolling completed trucks off the line still but not have a date for chip availability for trucks that are on hold?
Ford needs to do a better job of explaining this, its consuming me to the point of insanity

Thats how I feel about the bedlights. Why should i have to pay 1000 more for an included feature?

Yep, LED Box lighting SHOULD be included (like on MY21). In fact, it’s still advertised on the@Ford website as a standard exterior feature on Lariat+ trims. But, the Order Book is pretty clear, unfortunately. It ain’t included. Doesn’t excuse the false advertising though.

My complaint - and the reason I wrote letters, which amounted to nothing by the way - is that I’m absolutely willing to pay more for the OEM Box Lighting if necessary… I just don’t want the power tailgate and step. Is what it is.

Yeah I didn’t originally want the power tailgate either, but wanted the lights. Sucks because the tailgate step and lights were standard on my 16 Lariat and those are the only 2 things I wanted. I will say though, that the the power tailgate with is much lighter than my current 16.

Unfortunately still orders from January sitting in Chip limbo. I saw a big wave of orders scheduled today for week of 5/9, and I'm sure some of those are going to get built/shipped before ours. They really need to prioritize finishing Job 1 orders first, and really need to dig the poor Jan trucks off ice mountain and finish those.

Unfortunately still orders from January sitting in Chip limbo. I saw a big wave of orders scheduled today for week of 5/9, and I'm sure some of those are going to get built/shipped before ours. They really need to prioritize finishing Job 1 orders first, and really need to dig the poor Jan trucks off ice mountain and finish those.

I wonder what the total number of trucks on chip hold is? I also wonder how much time it would take to install all the chips and ship those trucks? It's super frustrating, not knowing when you may get finished is brutal. I cant imagine being one of the Jan guys

I’ve been ignoring the forums for a week. Been very liberating not having toworry about keeping up with the hundreds of posts.

My 3/31 blend build is still stuck in chip purgatory, wtf knows what the status is.

at this place my 2nd truck with blend week of 5/9 will be delivered HOPEFULLY before this week’s truck.

How are you liking your platinum PB so far? Mines identical just AGATE black, being build 4/25

I love it so far. I was originally a bit concerned with a couple early pictures of the BAP package on the Platinum but in person it is worth it in my opinion. My previous truck was a 2015 Platinum and there is a more of a difference in the interior fit and finish and overall amount of tech upgrades than I expected. Don’t have enough miles to really test the hybrid mileage but so far the integration of the electric mode seems to be well done.

From Ford chat: Railcar #TTGX988250 (Norfolk Southern Corp), currently Ramp 58, Melvindale, MI with ETA at dealership still Apr-23-2022-Apr-29-2022.
