295 or 285 - need your input

I ended up getting BFG KO3 tires in 275 65 20. Not close to rubbing at all, look great as about 1" taller. They definitely look narrower than the Falken AT3W I had before even though they are the same width but I like the taller look. I will end up installing Bilstein leveling shocks in front soon. Probably will go with 1.5" height since I tow.

My Discount Tire said 275/65/20 was the way to go and won't rub. I verified with a local 4 wheel / suspension shop and he said the same. Trying to get the G3s in that size in an SL but they are apparently in short supply.

thanks for the update. I may just need to go to another Discount Tire. I think the 275/56/20 would look great and fill in the wheel well space better on my stock wheels and stock suspension. I am also looking at SL tires as I dont need the heavy 8 or 10 ply tires for any type of heavy loading or pulling.

I have Nitto's Recon Grapplers in 275/65R20 SL and they have impressed me over the last 5k miles I have had them on my truck. Granted I haven't done any serious off-roading so take that into consideration.

They have a set of 275/60/20 G3s waiting for me but I really would like to bump up to the 275/65/20s. May have to pick a different tire thats available.

So 275/65/20 will fit with no rubbing on the 14 gen trucks. I am running that size on my 2018 platinum 157” but had to add 2” level to prevent rubbing. Got a 25 on order so searching around to see what works with stock height king ranch 157”
