22B08 Dealer Failure

I’ve been trying to avoid updating my 21 Job 1 truck myself mainly due to resentment over having to spend the $$ and time to do something Ford should be responsible for. Long story short……dropped off truck today at my small town dealer to attempt 22B08 to get me past the frozen 1.7.1 update and grayed out scheduling along with a couple other issues. They called a couple hours later to say everything was complete but admitted that 22B08 was not completed when I questioned the status. They claimed that the update failed and they could not proceed further.

My question is can anyone look up what they actually did and offer any advice on how to proceed?

I’d like to help point these guys in the right direction but I’m afraid they are just not interested in helping further.

I am willing to bite the bullet and buy the equipment and software to update myself as a last resort. I used to look forward to tech challenges such as these but the years seemed to have drained my patience.

similar thing happened to me, picked up the truck and realized it wasn't done, called Ford who confirmed and opened a case.

I then scheduled for them to update and brought it in last week, they have been back and forth with ford tech and had the truck since Friday morning without success, will get an update today (hopefully positive but I'm not holding my breath)
