I don’t own them yet but I have the same preferences as you and was leaning towards the BFG Trail Terrains. 3 peak rated and Stock 20” is still an SL tire.

I drove from the dealer to the tire store and replaced the dynapro’s with the Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus.
They are much better than the AS or ATR versions. Ive used these in both CO and now NH and am pleased.

Take a close look at the Cooper Discovery AT3 4S. I have had them on my last 2 trucks, and they are amazing as a Mountain Peak tire. They are fantastic on the highway, I do a lot of gravel road driving in the mountains and they hold up very well.
And, being in the Great White North, I run them in the winter and they are great on ice and snow.
TireRack has them rated in the top 2 of this class of tire.
I will keep getting them as they are that good.
